What is Pedicetamol?

Pedicetamol® contains paracetamol, which belongs to the group of painkillers and antipyretics. Pedicetamol® (Paracetamolum 100 mg/ml) is a concentrated strength of the drug in a small drop, compared to other paracetamol and available on the market in a concentration of 24 mg/ml and 40 mg/ml is the most concentrated. A concentrated dose of medication means your child has to swallow less liquid and you can easily administer the medication using a convenient graduated dropper.

Composition
The active substance of the drug is paracetamol.
1 ml of oral solution contains 100 mg of paracetamol. Other ingredients (excipients) are: macrogol 600, glycerol, raspberry flavour, sodium saccharin (E-954), azorubine (carmoisine) (E122), purified water.
Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol.

How to use
It is important to follow the dosage based on the child’s body weight to determine the appropriate dose in milliliters (ml) of oral solution. In children under 3 years of age, it is recommended to administer the solution using the dropper included in the 30 ml package. In children aged 3 years and over, it is recommended to administer the solution using the syringe included in the 60 ml package.

The tables below show the conversion of single doses of Pedicetamol in accordance with the recommended daily dose of paracetamol of 15 mg/kg bw every 6 hours:
If the desired effect is not achieved within 3-4 hours, the medication may be administered every 4 hours. In this case, the appropriate dose should be calculated according to the following instructions:
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 60 mg/kg/day without first consulting your doctor.
Action
The medicine is used to lower fever lasting no longer than 3 days and to relieve mild to moderate pain. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse, if the fever does not subside after 3 days, or if the pain does not subside after 3 days in children or 5 days in adults (2 days for a sore throat), you must talk to your doctor.
